My wife is from Manila and we are spending the Christmas through New Year holiday at the Peninsula Hotel while visiting her family. I have at stayed at this hotel many times over the past fifteen years. This is the first time I have been disappointed with this hotel. I requeated six times over an 18 hour period for housekeeping to remove our trash and provide us with toilet paper. I finally had to threaten to call the hotel manager to get these requests taken care of... and someone finally took care of this for us. We are here for another four days. If we have to request our room too be cleaned or to have toilet paper replenished, something which should be automatic, this will be our last stay at this Peninsula hotel. What a shame. Disappointing, to say the least...not meeting our expectations.
The food, the pool, and the gym are all outstanding.
The housekeeping service is non-responsive.
